NEPSE Rises 3.35 Points as Daily Turnover Soars to Rs 7.84 Billion

On April 3rd in Nepal, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a slight increase of 3.35 points, closing at 2,703.39 points.

The secondary market began trading at 2,700.04 points and steadily climbed to hit an intraday peak of 2,732.49 points within the initial ninety minutes. For approximately another sixty minutes, the index stayed relatively unchanged. Nevertheless, during the final session, it dropped by 27 points before closing for the day.

Among the four rising sectors, non-life insurance saw an increase of 72.49 points, with 'others' and then banking and hydropower following behind. In contrast, among the nine declining ones, the life insurance sector experienced the biggest drop at 90.20 points.

The delicate index tracking the progress of 'A' category firms surged by 2.30 points. The daily transaction volume rose to Rs 7.84 billion from Rs 5.44 billion observed on Wednesday.

Out of the separate firms, 93 showed gains whereas 151 experienced losses. The highest revenue, amounting to Rs 723.23 million, was generated by Himalayan Reinsurance Limited.

After gaining 9.99 percent in its market valuation, Green Ventures Limited was noted as the top performer. Conversely, Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited experienced the steepest decline, losing 7.85 percent of its market price.
