OGDCL Reignites Production at Chak 2-2 Well

On Thursday, OGDCL reported the successful resumption of operations at the Chak 2-2 Well, part of a collaboration project situated within the Sinjhoro Block in Sindh province.

This disclosure was made in an announcement to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday.

This bloc includes OGDCL operating with a 62.5% stake, GHPL owning 22.5%, and OPI with 15%.

OGDCL reported that after performing a sidetrack and recompletion in the Basal Sand formation, subsequent tests showed promising outcomes with a daily output of 115 barrels of crude oil (BOPD) along with 7.0 million standard cubic feet of natural gas (MMSCFD). Furthermore, they noted that this process also allows for the recovery of approximately 21 metric tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) each day.

The well has now been successfully incorporated into the Sinjhoro Gas Processing Plant, according to the notice. The processed gas is subsequently introduced into the SSGCL network.

This accomplishment underscores OGDCL's dedication to enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing reserves, thereby solidifying its role as Pakistan’s premier E&P firm dedicated to sustainable energy solutions and stakeholders' value.
