Osun Philanthropist Gifts Classrooms and Office to Alma Mater
The Chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), philanthropist, and graduate from the Ogedengbe School of Science in Ilesa, Prince Oluwaseun Adeloye Famoriyo Sabalo, made a donation consisting of two classroom blocks and an administrative office for staff to his former educational institution on Thursday. This gesture represents his commitment to supporting his old school.
At an event organized by the Prince Sabalo Support Foundation, which is owned by the benefactor and hosted at the school’s facilities, the founder stated that he constructed the facility to create a more suitable environment for student education within the institution.
As he stated: "When education happens in an supportive setting, successful learning ensues, leading to a robust absorption of information. This empowers students to excel and contribute positively wherever life may take them."
Sabalo, acknowledging the role of his former school in shaping his successful journey through life, deemed this act as something long overdue that he should have undertaken sooner. He expressed gratitude to God for bestowing upon him the opportunity to contribute positively to the institution.
He described the kind of education received in the school then as second to none and assured that, in the near future, he prays he could return to add more to the donated building.

When launching the initiative, Yeyeluwa Modupe Adeleke Sanni, who is the elder sister of Governor Ademola Adeleke, praised the effort as laudable and encouraged the benefactor to continue enhancing human welfare with further contributions.
She noted that the government has limitations and encouraged other philanthropists in society, particularly those among her fellow alumni who haven’t yet supported the school’s progress, to contribute and help revitalize their educational institution.
In his speech, the State Commissioner for Education, Hon Eluwole Sunday Adedipo, appreciated the donor for thinking along the lines of adding value to knowledge.
He contended that Sabalo's actions for the school would remain etched in the memories of forward-thinking people within academia and those who grasp the significance of education.
